Desktop Doctor is a free application to store and remember most of your Internet and e-mail client settings. This tool will help you to resume your Internet connection on the event of an Internet connection failure. This tool can also check and alert you about the health of your PC from time to time.

This application saves you a lot of time when a connection failure occurs, providing you with a fast and easy solution that, in most cases, will prevent you from contacting your ISP’s support department to solve the issue. This tool is absolutely free and very easy to use, suitable for all type of users. However, it is too slow at times, especially when testing your system’s connectivity or when storing new connection details.

This application will reside in your taskbar for quick access. The settings available are highly configurable, comprising both protection settings and repair settings. You can set specific protection settings for Outlook, Firefox, Internet Explorer, your Windows wireless connections and your network. Besides, if you believe that the changes performed while repairing your connection are not what you expected, you always have the option to undo all the changes.

McAfee warned that it has had spyware and malware attached to the download and warned against downloading it.

Software Informer says there is a new 6.2 version of Desktop Doctor. My version
is 2.0. I cannot find the 6.2 download anywhere! I went to the site. Not there.
I googled it. Nothing. Is this accurate??

Well, as I can see the latest version reported by SI is 2.5.5 and it is correct.

Does Comcast upgrade the program themselves?
I like the program and it helps me keep straight with my mail for the poor Techs.
